New Cover Cachet Design
On preliminary test and proficiency flights leading up to the ultimate XAP ascension, souvenir mail will be carried aboard to be distributed free of charge to our supporters who have reserved serial numbered covers to be carried to the mesosphere. Above is a sample of the first envelopes produced and carried earlier. Later editions for future test flights will each be unique. Serial numbers will be assigned to match the XAP covers. Astute collectors of balloon mail will want to have the complete set.
Reserve your cover
You may reserve your personal cover now and support XAP at the same time. We request a $10.00 non refundable deposit to reserve one cover to be carried on the flight to the mesosphere at a no obligation $50 delivery order. You will receive one each of any covers carried on preparation and test flights prior to the actual mesosphere flight. You will have the option to purchase one mesosphere cover at $50 (for each $10 deposit) after the flight, but you are not obligated to by this order.
The covers carried on the flight will be signed by the pilot before the launch. No covers will be carried that are not subject to prior reservation. No covers will be sold to wholesale dealers at special prices. XAP will not have covers for sale post flight either retail or wholesale.
